What browsers work for Kinja via iOS? Safari is DOA and Firefox is like a bandaid on an arterial bleeder.

No third party browser will make a difference - they’re all stuck using Safari for the rendering engine.

Chrome sucks for kinja.

Not anymore. They were allowed to use their own renering engines with iOS9. The only browser I know of that takes advantage of this is chrome.

Nope. What they were allowed to do was access the accelerated, high performance javascript rendering engine that used to be exclusive to Safari. Chrome still can’t use blink, and Firefox still can’t use gecko.

Life lesson - Kinja sucks, regardless of browser.

For optimal viewing experience, use Lynx on MS-DOS.

In the long run, what’s the solution? Jailbreak? Jump platforms? Hope Denton reinvests in IT?

I use chrome on my iPad and it works as well as anything, I guess. Chrome on my Android phone, though, hates Kinja with a passion.

Sometimes I feel that way too. Then I remember where I work and I shake myself out of it.

I use chrome and it works a lot better. I abandoned safari entirely.

I’m not aware of any browsers that use their own rendering engines with a jailbreak, but then again, I don’t pay attention to the jailbreak community.

FWIW, I don’t have an issue with Chrome on my iPhone, but I don’t post on Kinja, I mostly just view content. Your only choices if the Safari engine isn’t rendering Kinja properly is complain to Kinja IT and hope they unfuck whatever they fucked, or go to Android where Chrome can use Blink and Firefox can use Gecko. But not accessing a single website is a bit extreme to change platforms over.

That’s up to you though; not my money.

I use Chrome on my iPhone 6+s, no issues with Kinja

Death by a thousand paper cuts, as it were. If the solution were to jump platforms, I’d still have access to the mobile business systems I need to use, and it may solve a litany of issues I have with Apple devices.

After some bad experiences with ios, I avoid it at all costs, but when I had an iphone, Google Chrome served me well. Heck I use Google Chrome on everything just because it is so useful and stable, and because I’d probably sell my soul to Google
